Aprilaire Automatic Humidifiers
The Model 700 power humidifier (formerly Model 768) features truly automatic control, so there's no need to ever manually control the humidifier. It is also designed with ease of service in mind. It utilizes an outdoor temperature sensor for monitoring even the slightest changes in outdoor temperature. This high-tech humidification system can deliver up to 50% more moisture in comparison to competitive units. With flexibility in mind, it can even be installed in manual mode, if necessary. Complementing any HVAC system, the 700 has an evaporation capacity of 0.75 gallons per hour, among the highest capacity humidifiers sold. If you own a larger home and want the best, then this may be the humidifier for you, as it will handle up to 4,200 square feet if your home is tight in construction.
The Model 600 automatic humidifier takes humidifier innovation to the next level and performs as good as it looks! It offers all of the performance benefits of our other technologically-advanced computer-equipped automatic humidifiers and it’s easier than ever to have installed because it includes a built-in bypass damper, which means fewer parts to install. Plus, the damper is conveniently labeled for summer and winter settings, allowing you to set it for the entire season with no guesswork involved. Just set it and let your humidifier run automatically and it will deliver up to 50% more humidity, compared to other competitive units on the market. It also can be installed in manual mode, if needed. The Model 600 has an evaporative capacity of 0.70 gallons per hour and is ideal for a home with up to 4,000 square feet if it’s tightly constructed. We believe it’s the best performing bypass humidifier on the market!

The Model 550 bypass humidifier is an economy unit designed for smaller homes. This unit utilizes a manual humidifier control that can be installed in the living area or on the furnace ductwork. Along with all other models (except model 448) it is equipped with a drain to flush minerals from the system. The model 550 has an evaporative capacity of 0.50 gallons per hour and can handle up to 3,000 square feet if the home is tightly constructed.
The Model 400 bypass humidifier is the newest addition to the line. It uses new evaporative technology to minimize water use, eliminate standing water and provide comfortable humidified air throughout your home. Gravity pulls water down while the wicking action of the water panel draws it back to the top, using 100% of the water delivered to the unit. It’s the perfect choice for homes with septic systems, locations where a floor drain is not available or families interested in water conservation. Plus, its computer technology and innovative design makes it effortless to operate and simple to maintain. The Model 400 bypass humidifier is a high-capacity, water-conserving humidifier (0.70 gallons evaporated per hour), well suited to handle up to a 4,000 square foot, tightly constructed home.
The Models 350/360 are completely self-contained units designed especially for installation in homes with radiators or baseboard heat. Equally suited for other types of heat, they are sized to fit within closets, heated crawl spaces and basements. These humidifiers have an evaporative capacity of 0.50 gallons per hour and are able to handle a home of up to 4,500 square feet, if the home is tightly constructed.
